Inglot Freedom System

Back in August whilst I was shopping in Miami I finally came across an Inglot Cosmetics store. I was so excited because in my home town there is not a Inglot retail location. Yes, I know that I could have purchased Ignlot online, but having never tried anything from the line before I was hesitant. Now I am sitting here wishing I had purchased more from the store then the mere samples.

Entering the store I was not sure what to expect and seeing flashes of colorful makeup paraded on the walls made me sort of too happy to function. I was thankfully helped by an Inglot employee who after seeing me walk from table to table offered the freedom system palette to try. He recommended that I try the option with a face powder, blush and two lip creams. I swapped the lip creams for two eye shadows only because I don’t like to mix my powders with any liquid or cream entities.

The freedom palette I purchased was I believe about $57 plus tax, which I found to be fairly reasonable. I also purchased a foundation and a concealer, but that is for a different blog. Anyhow, I was so excited to get back to the hotel to put my palette together and finally try the products.

Initially the products are fine milled and soft textured which makes them seem much more luxurious then their price tag. I got a darker powder to use as a bronzer and I didn’t purchase their so called “bronzer” because I found it to be too orange for my normally pale complexion. My favorite purchase from the palette is the face blush and I am so happy with the color I chose. Also I selected two eye shadows that were somewhat neutral colors full of shimmer because I wanted some different highlighter and eye contour options. Honestly, I have not used the shadows hat often simply because my day to day makeup routine had been super simple. In terms of the bronzer and blush, the staying power is not great but if you use a makeup setting spray like the urban decay your make up will stay in place all day.

I was unable to find my exact palette online probably because I am not to savvy with the Inglot website, but I will post pictures below of my purchase. However, I regret not purchasing some lip products which are my favorite make up item.

Overall I am satisfied with my Inglot products, although I wish I had purchased more. What are some of your favorite Inglot products and what should I order?!? Please let me know below! Xoxo

Loreal OleoTherapy Perfecting Oil Essence and Mask

Hello people searching for great yet affordable hair products!

I am so excited to share my experience with the NEW Loreal OleoTherapy products and why  I am deeply in love with them, weird I know. But, trust me when I am able to stumble upon amazing haircare at the drugstore level I get a little out of control, perhaps even slightly obsessed.

I was at Target today because I needed to pick up some toothpaste, cotton rounds, and ect when I randomly found myself in the haircare aisle. Normally I don’t change my haircare routine often because I don’t like to abuse my already heavily color treated hair. There is was,  and my giant eyeballs could not stop being attracted to the shiny containers, and almost empty shelf. I first picked up the Loreal OleoTherapy Deep Recovery Mask. Price $7.74 US for 8.5 FL OZ, and it was the last mask on the shelf which told me to consider the benefits. The first thing I do when I purchase new products is I smell them, because if I don’t find the scent appealing there is no way I will put it on my hair. Let me tell you this mask smells expensive, rich and luxurious. According to the label it is made from 6 flower oils which gives it the lustrous effects and amazing scent. I have never before come across a product that smells so good at a drugstore level. It smells just like Kerastase and to be honest looks just like it. It makes sense I suppose because Kerastase is part of the Loreal brand. Anyhow, it was love at first sight. I was unable to google any reviews because I think the product is fairly new. Furthermore, I grabbed the mask and put in my cart and proceeded to see what else the line had to offer.

The second item I purchased from the line was the Perfecting Oil Essence, which was so attractive to the eyes because it comes in a 3.4FL OZ glass bottle with pump applicator. Glass is a big deal, because it generally denotes that the product is more expensive and worthy. Besides that the products looked identical to the Kerastase Nutritive Oleo Serum.

Clearly you can tell that the Loreal is a drugstore dupe for the Kerastase oil, only about $30 cheaper. The Loreal Oil was $ 11.49 US for 3.4 FL OZ.

Also here is the Kerastase mask that resembles the Loreal mask.

I was so excited to get home and to try out both of the Loreal products. The mask is amazing and it detangles hair fantastically. The instructions state to leave on for 3-5 minutes and rise hair as usual. The scent is not extra heavy but it is ultra feminine and lasting. I am so in love with this hair mask!!! After brushing through my hair with a breeze I applied two pumps of the Loreal oil and I target my roots because they are quite dry. I have ombre hair and my ends are blonde, and prior to being ombre I was super blonde therefore my hair can always use moisture. The oil is invigorating and non-greasy, easily applicable and does not weigh hair down. I blow dried my hair without styling it but I cannot stop smelling it or running my fingers through it. It feels so silky, smooth and manageable.

Overall The Loreal OleoTherapy products are amazing and if you are able to try some please do, you will not be disappointed. They also add such a feminine and sexy scent to the hair which I feel adds confidence to anyone. I love products that add femininity to anyone! Please let me know what your experience was like with any of these products and also if you want pictures of hair before and after I could take some and post them, I probably should have done that.

Also the products are sulfate free which is a great bonus!!!

Take care, and happy hair!

Cold Winter=Terrible Skin

Hi there!

This has been the coldest winter in North America since I can remember, and my skin is just not loving it! Seriously the temperature has been below 40F with wind chills and it literally feels like my skin is being torn. The other day I walked out of my home and I happened to sneeze which caused my lip to tear in the middle. I always keep my skin well moisturized but this winter is killing my fair skin. I decided to change my whole routine and I added oils to my daily moisturizing routine. My skin feels incredibly soft and supple and much more radiant. For my lips I went with an old favorite that I used in Europe and I was able to find it online. It has helped heal my chapped lips in two days and now they are super soft.

Winter Glow and Humidity

Super dry and cold winter days are definitely not a bonus for any skin type, especially people who already suffer from dry flaky facial skin. I have particularly dry sensitive skin and I always want to achieve a dewy skin and I want to make sure that my skin is saturated with enough moisture to stay healthy. To start with, year round I use an additional Honeywell warm air portable humidifier in my room while I sleep. They are fairly inexpensive and are superb at keeping your skin moisturized and well rested. So each night before I go to bed, I fill my humidifier tank with cold water and I turn it on. In a minute or so the humidifier starts to produce warm humid moisture that my skin is obsessed with and each morning I wake up with well moisturized skin. Warm mist humidifiers can be purchased at any larger store such as Target or Walmart, and if you want the same one that I have here is the link for it on Amazon.

Also along with the humidifier I use a facial spray from Reviva that I purchase at the Vitamin Shoppe for $8.99 and a moisturizer from Cerave that I purchase from target for $12.99. I love the Rose water facial spray because it is so soothing and it contains hyaluronic acid which plumps up the skin and allows it to maintain a moisture barrier. I love the Cerave PM lotion and I use is in the AM before the Natura Bisse SPF and in the evening after I have cleansed my face. Generally in the evening I clean my face, spray it with Reviva facial spray, and apply the Cerave lotion right after. The results so far have been amazing and I have been using this combination for several months. Cerave is excellent too because it contain ceramides which are great for anti-aging. Honestly this combination has done wonders for my dry skin and I feel like its fairly inexpensive as well.

Hyperpigmentation Treatment

One of my biggest skin battles of all times is trying to find the best products to treat and prevent hyperpigmentation from acne or sun damage. Hyperpigmentation is caused by an increase of melanin or skin pigment production. Often times I have acne and I mess with it, I get scarring that is much darker than the rest of my skin. Also if I am in the sun and I am not wearing a decent amount of SPF my facial skin tends to get darker and my scars increase in pigmentation.

There are several treatments on the market that help reduce or even remove hyperpigmenation of skin, most of them being chemical peels and acids. Personally I have a difficult time finding products that are strong enough to help with the discoloration, yet wont cause more damage to my frail skin. I have tried to use Retin-A before and I have not had the best of luck with it, in fact it has caused more damage to my skin. Because of my Retin-A expereince (I understand not everyone has had a terrible experience with Retin-A) I have been in search of products that will repair my damaged skin and prevent further excessive hyperpigmentation.

The first product that I have started using is the alpha hydrox 14% AHA Swipes, which are facial swipes that are soaking in alpha hydroxy acid. AHA’s are a group of acids found in foods and they are excellent for removing dead or damaged skin cells. They come in a small jar containing 24 swipes. I use them in the evening after I have cleansed and pat dried my skin, after swiping I use remainder on my hands to keep them from aging! After using the swipes I apply my facial spray and moisturizer and I am all set. I purchase them at Ulta for $15.99. Overall I love these swipes because they are not super strong and therefore I am able to use them every two days. Overall they have improved my skin tone dramatically. ImageImage

After using these AHA swipes, I really needed to protect my face from further damage, and I wanted it to heal properly. I have tried a sample of the Natura Bisse SPF 50 Luminous Shield sunscreen before and I decided to purchase a full size. I was somewhat hesitant at first because for a 2.5 OZ tube it costs $129.00, which is insane for a SPF, but I knew that the product was amazing and that it would last me a while, so I purchased it. I am obsessed and I cannot say enough good things about the Natura Bisse Ceutical SPF 50 Luminous Shield. The product is oil free and waterproof and does not cause any breakouts. It contains physical sunscreen which I believe works best against hyperpigmentation. Below I have posted from their website the ingredients in this products. Complex:

  • Physical Defense: Titanium dioxide and melanin like pigments; an innocuous, hypoallergenic and tolerable barrier that reflect UV rays.
  • Organic Defense: Absorbs and transforms UV radiation into energy that can be better assimilated by the skin.
  • Biological Defense: Components that improve and strengthen the skin’s natural self defense mechanism.
  • Beta Glucans: Fortifies the skin’s natural immune system.
  • Vitamin E and F: Powerful anti-oxidants that neutralize free radicals and enhance the skin’s natural barrier.
  • Bisabolol: Provides soothing and calming properties to the skin.

After application it absorbs within ten minutes and its very moisturizing as well therefore, in the summer time I don’t need an extra moisturizer even with my dry skin.

My 2.5 OZ tube has lasted my for 6months before I ran out, and I only need about a pea size amount to cover my entire face. Overall although quite pricey the product is amazing and definitely prevents hyperpigmentation and sun damage.

Have you tried these products? If you have let me know below what your experience was with them.

Happy Sunday

Love for Boots!

Happy Winter!

So I am a girl that love boots, especially low heel boots and my last purchase from Nine West is definitely my favorite. I purchased the Nine West Thomasa booties back in November of 2013 and I was not sure if I wanted to get them since they were $149, but I loved the large zipper detail and I had to go back to the store and purchase them.

I am so happy that I ran back to the store to get them because they look adorable and they have about a 1″ heel, but the folded leather and zipper look makes them look super chic! Also I had to get a size down because I found for my foot that they ran on the large side.

Here is the link if you are interested in the boots!,default,pd.html

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation

MY favorite beauty product is foundation because it balances my uneven skin and creates a beautiful canvas. I am always in search of amazing foundation that will work well with my sensitive fairly dry skin, and I am happy to say after sampling Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation from Sephora, I decided to go back and purchase the full size. I always look for foundation that will not break my skin out, balance of the redness in my face and blend well with the yellowness in my neck. I have warm/red tones in my face and this foundation in Sand 2 balances out my overall skin tone very well.

photo 1

The foundation comes with a pump applicator which is great for sanitary application and prevents contamination. The packaging includes 1FL. OZ of liquid foundation which is a standard size for foundation. It contains and SPF of 15; Octinoxate 2.90% and Titanium Dioxide 1.60%. I love that is has a physical sunscreen such as Titanium Dioxide because with my experience I have come to realize that physical sunscreens protect better from hyper-pigmentation than do the chemical sunscreens, this foundation however contains both so the protection is well balanced. This formula is also OIL FREE and according to the box label, “…coverage that looks like skin.Ultra comfortable, lightweight formula instantly hydrates skin and stays fresh for up to 12 hours. For normal to oily skin.”

To Use: Apply with foundation brush, fingers or sponge.

I have applied using all three and they are both even in terms of application but the brush and the sponge are better options and your hands don’t get dirty. Also the foundation does look very natural on the face, one pump will give medium coverage, two pumps will give full coverage, no setting powder required for me but if you have oily T-zone than I recommend using setting powered to prevent shiny areas on the face. Also before applying the foundation I apply moisturizer about 15 minutes before, let it absorb and then proceed with the foundation application, this will keep your skin well moisturized and balanced before the foundation since it is a long wear formula.

However, this foundation contains lavender (lavadula angustifolia) which is scented at first but once the foundation is set the scent seems to go away. I am generally very sensitive to lavender scents and I prefer to not have them but because the scent disappears within a few minutes the foundation is definitely worth keeping. Also once set the foundation does not move literally for 12 hours!

Price wise it is more on the expensive side of the market, Sephora sells the product for $47 and Amazon sells it between $49-$69. Below will be links for both sites if you are interested in purchasing.

I have demonstrated the foundation on my wrist so that you can see how well it covers my veins that are blue and green and how it makes my skin even, also below is an image that shows how much one pump will dispense.

Overall I love this foundation and I will definitely repurchase once I start to get low! Have you tried this foundation yet, if so leave comments below and let me know what your experience was with the product, good or bad.

XOXO take care, and stay warm if you live in a cold weather place like I do, if not enjoy the warm weather

MISSHA 3D Snail Mask

Hi there!

I have decided to start honestly reviewing some of my favorite beauty products because, I myself am always on the hunt for fantastic products that make a difference with my super sensitive EVERYTHING prone skin. I have even damaged my skin from sampling and testing a variety of beauty products. My goal is to provide the most honest reviews on products that I try and I am always willing to accept suggestions for products to review.

Anyhow, I have always been obsessed with Korean beauty products and their love for flawless skin. I am lucky to have a friend who was able to bring me some MISSHA 3D Repair Snail Masks, which are fantastic for skin elasticity. After a cleansed face simply apply a mask and let sit for 15-20 minutes and rediscover more plump skin. I really enjoy using this mask before I have an event to attend such as a wedding because I find that it prepares the skin perfectly for foundation. The mask serum absorbs so nicely into the skin and the fine lines are depleted, also the overall complexion is more vivid.

After running out of the masks that my friend has brought me I have been in search for alternatives and I have managed to find some through by the same company which has a great reputation. If you are interested in trying something like this mask, here is the link or simply search the web yourselves.

As I have mentioned before I have really sensitive, eczema prone skin and this mask works nicely with my problematic skin. I highly recommend this mask for anyone who plans on wearing heavy make-up, because this mask will renew and protect your skin from the heaviness of the make-up. photo 1 photo 3 photo 2
